Doc. dr Milica Ječmenica Lukić

Education:

• 2005 – Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade.
• 2010 – Completed specialist academic studies in neurology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade. Thesis: Clinical and Radiographic Characteristics of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (mentor: Academician Prof. Vladimir Kostić, MD, PhD).
• 2016 – Completed specialization in neurology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade.
• 2018 – Received a PhD from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade. Doctoral dissertation: Clinical and Morphological Correlates of Progression and Heterogeneity of Atypical Parkinsonian Syndromes (mentor: Academician Prof. Vladimir Kostić, MD, PhD).

Professional Experience:

• 2007–2011 – Research Associate, Clinic of Neurology, University Clinical Center of Serbia, Belgrade.
• 2011–2015 – Neurology Resident, Clinic of Neurology, University Clinical Center of Serbia, Belgrade.
• 2016–present – Specialist in Neurology, Clinic of Neurology, University Clinical Center of Serbia, Department of Movement Disorders and Neurodegenerative Diseases and Center for Therapeutic Application of Botulinum Toxin.
• 2016–2024 – Teaching Assistant, Department of Neurology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade.
• 2025–present – Assistant Professor, Department of Neurology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade.

Professional Training:

• 2010 – Professional training through the “Department to Department” programme of the European Federation of Neurological Societies (EFNS), University of Innsbruck, Austria, Department of Neurodegenerative Disorders of the Central Nervous System.
• 2018 – Postdoctoral research fellowship at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE), Munich, Germany.
• Participant in numerous international schools, courses and congresses focusing on movement disorders, Parkinson’s disease and parkinsonian syndromes.
