Education:

Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade.
Completed residency training in Radiology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade.
2023 – Earned a PhD from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade. Doctoral dissertation: Diagnostic Value of Advanced Computed Tomography Techniques in the Preoperative Prediction of the Malignant Potential of Gastric Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors.

Professional Experience:

Since 2011 – Physician at the University Clinical Centre of Serbia. She began her career at the Emergency Center, where she gained extensive experience in the diagnosis of emergency conditions using ultrasound and multidetector computed tomography (MDCT).
Since 2015 – Radiologist at the Department of Digestive Radiology, First Surgical Clinic, University Clinical Centre of Serbia, specializing in the diagnosis and oncological follow-up of malignant diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
Her primary professional interests include imaging of the upper gastrointestinal tract and inflammatory pancreatic diseases.
She serves as a Clinical Assistant at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, and as Secretary of the Department for Postgraduate Studies.
She regularly serves as both a member and team leader of the Emergency Center on-call radiology team, with extensive experience in the imaging diagnosis of thoracic and abdominal trauma.
She performs a high volume of diagnostic examinations each year using conventional radiography, ultrasound, multidetector computed tomography (MDCT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Professional Development and Activities:

She regularly participates in national and international educational courses, workshops, and congresses in the field of radiology.
2015 – Secretary of the National Congress of Radiologists of Serbia.
Frequently invited speaker at national radiology congresses with international participation.
2026 – Moderator of the Upper Gastrointestinal Tract scientific session at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR).

Scientific and Professional Activities:

Dr. Mitrović Jovanović is the author and co-author of more than 40 scientific and professional publications in national and international medical journals.

She is actively involved in clinical research, with a particular focus on gastrointestinal oncology imaging and the application of advanced CT techniques in abdominal radiology.
